Day 1: Arrival at Mcleodganj and same day Trek to Triund (2875Mts.) 9 km walk.
Mcleodganj is situated in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It lies on a spur of the Dhauladhar range and commands majestic views of the mighty Dhauladhar range above, and the Kangra valley below.

His Holiness, the Dalai Lama, who has chosen upper Dharamshala (Mcleodganj) as his abode and is the prime attraction for the westerners as well as Indian tourists throughout the year.

Triund is a very well defined and easy trek that passes through Dharamkot village and Galu Devi and then to Triund. This is one of the best trekking routes which gains a height of about 1000mts. at a distance of 9km by walk.

This is one of the charming places where the views towards Kangra valley and Dharamshala are delectable. One can enjoy the night view of the glittering lights of Dharamshala town, which makes the whole scene unique and memorable.

Day 2: Triund to Snow line/ Illaqua glacier/Gote (3200Mts).
Illaqua glacier is situated below Indrahara Pass at an elevation of 3200mts. Also known as Illaqua Gote. Illaqua gote is also known as the Snow line where trekkers can spot snow throughout the year. Over night camp at Illaqua gote.

Day 3: Illaqua glacier to Indrahara Pass (4250Mts.) and back to Illaqua gote 7 to 8 hrs.
The trek to the pass is long and goes over soft snow and a number of icy streams covered with hard snow have to be negotiated. Such type of conditions is mostly during the end of April, May, and June. The trek passes over rock faces and at certain points involves very steep climbing.

Climbing conditions during the monsoon and autumn months is not as risky as the trek is free from snow. The whole area has a variety of alpine flowers and herbal plants. This pass provides a very scenic view of both Kangra and Chamba valleys and offers a distant view of the Middle and Greater Himalayas.

Day 4: Illaqua Gote/Snow line to Guna Mata Temple or Balh village.
The trek goes down to the west side of Illaqua. This is a beaten trek frequented by shepherds, trekkers and local people. It has a moderate grade.

Illaqua to Jari Gote is not a mentioned trek one has to find his own trek while hoping up on the rocks and following the stream till Jari gote. The route is clear but it becomes slushy and slippery during monsoon. After Jari gote further trek passes through very thick and dense forest to Guna Devi temple.

Day 5: Guna Mata temple or Balh village to Mcleodganj. The trek ends at Mcleodganj.
Guna Devi temple is located in Guna 8kms from Mcleodganj. The temple is placed at the elevation of 2320mts. Guna Devi temple is a pilgrimage center of the Gaddi shepherds. It is dedicated to goddess Kali. The trek is clear and easy it takes about 2 to 3 hrs to reach Mcleod Ganj. The trek ends at Mcleodganj
