Triund is a 9km gradual trek, which passes through Dharamkot village and Galu devi temple. From Galu devi onward the trek is smooth and well defined and ascends through forest of oak, and rhododendron. The jeepable road has come up to Galu Devi temple and one can reach here by cab if there is time constraint.

This is one of the beautiful trek, which gains height gradually and winds around ridges that look towards Dharamshala and Kangra. Whole trek offers panoramic views towards Bhagsu, Mcleodganj, Dharamshala, Kangra valley and distant views of the Shivaliks and plains of Punjab. It takes about 3 to 4 hours to negotiate this 9 km trail from Mcleodganj.

Day 1: Arrival at Mcleodganj
Arrival at Mcleodganj in Hotel Ekant lodge. The Hotel is located on the Jogi Bara road, Mcleodganj. Ekant lodge is just 600mts away from the Mcleodganj bus stand and it takes about 15min by walk to reach.

Ekant Lodge provides decent and budget accommodation with attached toilets/ bath and hot shower and offers sumptuous meals to the tourist and trekkers.

Day 2: Trek to Triund camp site (2875m) 9 km and overnight stay in tents.
Triund is a very well defined and easy trek which passes through Dharamkot village and Galu Devi and then to Triund. This is the one of the best trekking routes which gains a height of about 1000mts. in a distance of 9km. This is one of the charming places from where the views towards kangra valley and Dharamshala are delectable.

One can enjoy the night view of the glittering lights of Dharamshala town, which makes the whole scene unique and memorable.

Day 3: Triund to Mcleodganj via Lehta, Bhagsu waterfall, and Bhagsunag temple.
After breakfast trek to Lehta which is further 2km from Triund camp and it takes about 1 and half hour to reach. After visiting Lehta, descend to Mcleodganj via Bhagsu waterfall and Bhagsunag temple and then to Mcleodganj.

Total distance from Triund to Mcleodganj is 7km.
